zoo Zittau registered association

The animal park Zittau owns a seven hectare site. Its origins date to the beginning of the century back on a dear area and a forest aviary. The zoo is located in the so-called Weinaupark. In addition to the presentation of the native wildlife the animal park offers mainly thematic exhibitions such as a South America part, the Australia facilities and fallow deer enclosure. The animal population consists of about 380 animals in 70 species, such as penguins (daily feeding 15:30), kangaroos, llamas, coatis, lynx and eagle owl.
