The institution for the rights of foreigners grants and renews residence permits for residence purposes regulated by law. It is also responsible for legal residence matters of the nationals of EU states. It is the contact point for all questions relating to the right of residence of legally resident non-German nationals. Additional tasks include the control right of residence by collateral clauses (conditional) and the distribution of German passport substitute papers. The registration and checking of declarations which are regular for issuing tourist visa to visit Germany's condition is carried out in this subject area. In the jurisdiction of the Subjects Immigration Law also falls ending the legality of the stay by the withdrawal of residency rights.
